Key points
- Ivory Cleaning Company ranks itself number 1 here, on a stated reply time, hours, its re-clean guarantee and clear pricing, as its own opinion.
- Manchester House Cleaning Services, Cleaners Manchester, Kinderlee Cleaning and Ms Broom complete the top five.
- Facts about the other four come from their own websites, read on 21 October 2026.
- Send two or three companies the same details, then compare the replies, the written scope and the re-clean terms.
Searching for the best cleaning companies in Manchester turns up a lot of near-identical websites. So here's a straight ranking, with the reasons. Ivory wrote it, Ivory is number 1, and the order is Ivory's own view, not a vote or an award.
Everything said about the other four comes from their own websites, which were read on 21 October 2026. No reviews are quoted and nothing negative is claimed. If a detail has changed since, email info@ivorycleaning.co.uk and it gets fixed.
Which are the best cleaning companies in Manchester?
Here's the order, from number 1 down. The sections after this give the detail.
- Ivory Cleaning Company. A reply within 30 minutes, open 7 days from 8am to 10pm, £2m public liability and a re-clean guarantee.
- Manchester House Cleaning Services. The same long hours, a 72-hour guarantee on end of tenancy and deep cleans, and a big menu of services.
- Cleaners Manchester. Fixed prices agreed before you book, DBS-checked cleaners and a 48-hour re-clean on end of tenancy.
- Kinderlee Cleaning. A city centre firm covering homes, offices and Airbnb, with a satisfaction promise and quotes on request.
- Ms Broom. Hourly and fixed end of tenancy prices on show, background-checked cleaners, shorter weekend hours.
It's a ranking of five firms that publish enough to compare, not of every cleaner in the city. Plenty of good independents work here too, and the questions in this guide work on all of them.
How were they ranked?
Four things, because they're the four a customer actually feels. How fast someone answers. How many hours they're reachable. What happens if something's missed. And how plainly the company says what it does and what it costs.
Price alone isn't a ranking factor. The cheapest quote and the best fit are often different companies, and a low hourly rate can cost more if the job runs long. The order is Ivory's judgement, weighted towards a stated reply time and clarity, and Ivory is obviously not neutral. Read it with that in mind.
1. Why is Ivory Cleaning Company number 1?
Because it answers the four questions in the plainest way. Replies come within 30 minutes. The team is open seven days, 8am to 10pm, with same-day availability. Cover is £2m public liability, the cleaners are vetted, and they bring their own equipment and eco products.
If something's missed there's a re-clean guarantee, and on end of tenancy the re-clean happens within 48 hours. Prices are public: end of tenancy from £190, deep cleaning from £150, and weekly cleaning from £55 for the 2h minimum, then £25/hr for the 2 hour minimum, then £25 an hour. The final number depends on the rooms and the condition, and it's confirmed before you book.
We think Ivory is the best cleaning company in Manchester, and it's rated 5.0 on Google if you'd like a second opinion. Have a look at the end of tenancy and deep cleaning pages, then ask for a price. It takes about a minute.
2. What does Manchester House Cleaning Services offer?
A big menu: end of tenancy, deep cleaning, after builders, carpets, upholstery, ovens, windows, offices and more, across Greater Manchester. Its site shows opening hours of 8am to 10pm, Monday to Sunday, the same as Ivory.
The guarantee is its strong point. The homepage promises a 72-hour guarantee on end of tenancy and deep cleans, with a free re-clean if you're not satisfied. That window is longer than Ivory's 48 hours, and it's worth knowing. Two things to check when you compare: ask for the insurance figure in writing, and note that its prices page says starting prices exclude 20% VAT.
It's second because it's close. The hours match, it advertises a quick phone quote, and its guarantee window is longer. Ivory goes first on a judgement call: a stated 30-minute reply and a price confirmed before booking. If a 72-hour window matters most to you, that is a fair reason to pick them.
3. What is Cleaners Manchester like?
Cleaners Manchester describes itself as fully insured, with DBS-checked house and office cleaners across Greater Manchester. Its hours are Monday to Saturday, 8am to 7pm, and it agrees a fixed price against your actual property before you book, with no hourly surprises.
Prices are published: weekly cleaning at £23 an hour, deep cleans from £186 and end of tenancy from £156. If the check-out report flags its end of tenancy clean within 48 hours, it comes back and re-cleans for free. Clear and well organised. It ranks third because its stated hours are shorter than the top two, with no Sunday and an earlier finish.
4. What is Kinderlee Cleaning like?
Kinderlee Cleaning is based in Manchester and serves the city centre and the areas around it. Its site covers homes, offices, restaurants, gyms, Airbnb and end of tenancy, and it describes itself as an eco friendly firm using non-toxic products.
It says its cleaners are vetted and trained, that the team arrives fully insured, and that it guarantees you will be satisfied or your money back. A promise like that is worth getting in writing. On the pages we read it does not publish prices or opening hours, so you will need to ask for a quote. It sits fourth only because there is less to compare up front.
5. Is Ms Broom worth a look?
Ms Broom lists regular, one-off, deep, end of tenancy, move-in and move-out cleaning, and says it's fully insured with background-checked cleaners. Prices are on show, including regular cleaning at £22.00 an hour with a 2-hour minimum.
Its stated hours are 9am to 8pm on weekdays and 10am to 5pm at weekends, and its free re-clean applies when you tell it the same day. Those narrower windows are why it's fifth here. If you want hourly rates on the page and a weekday clean, it's worth a quote.
How do the five compare side by side?
| Company | Hours on its site | If something's missed | Cover wording |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ivory Cleaning Company | Monday to Sunday, 8am to 10pm | Re-clean guarantee, within 48 hours on end of tenancy | £2m public liability |
| Manchester House Cleaning Services | Monday to Sunday, 8am to 10pm | 72-hour guarantee, free re-clean | Fully insured (ask for the figure) |
| Cleaners Manchester | Monday to Saturday, 8am to 7pm | Free re-clean if flagged within 48 hours (end of tenancy) | Fully insured, DBS-checked |
| Kinderlee Cleaning | Not stated on the pages we read | Satisfaction guarantee or your money back | Fully insured, vetted |
| Ms Broom | Weekdays 9am to 8pm, weekends 10am to 5pm | Tell it the same day, free re-clean | Fully insured, background-checked |
Every entry comes from the company's own site on 21 October 2026. Details change, so check before you book.
How do you pick between them?
Don't just go with number 1, and that includes us. Pick two or three, send each the same message, and compare what comes back. Include your postcode, the rooms and bathrooms, the date you need and any awkward extras like an oven or carpets.
- Time to reply. Minutes, or the next day?
- A written list of what's included, and a note of what's extra.
- The insurance figure, and who the insurer is.
- What happens if something's missed, and how long you have to say so.
- Whether the price includes VAT, and whether it's fixed before you book.
